We are seeking a Pipe Stress Analysis Engineer – Nuclear Power (Direct Hire, Remote)

 

About the Role

We are partnered with a top nuclear industry leader to hire a Pipe Stress Analysis Engineer with direct nuclear power experience. This is a direct hire, in-house position offering full benefits, paid time off, and remote flexibility. You’ll be joining a highly respected team that works on mission-critical nuclear power projects, contributing to the safe and reliable operation of energy infrastructure across the country.

In this role, you will gain exposure to work across the nuclear fleet in the U.S., supporting multiple utilities and a wide variety of PWR and BWR reactor types. This provides engineers with unique skillsets and technical depth that are highly valued across the nuclear industry.

Major Duties / Responsibilities

Apply engineering principles, techniques and practices in the preparation and/or review of engineering work products for existing power plants as well as new plants

Use of the Standard Design Process (SDP) to develop modification packages, P&ID’s, isometric drawings, create pipe stress analysis models, prepare piping & engineering specifications in accordance with code requirements

Perform review of complex calculations, design deliverables, and lead small to medium projects or serve as technical lead on complex projects.

 

Qualifications / Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

5+ years of relevant mechanical design & pipe stress analysis experience

Knowledge of mechanical & nuclear codes, standards, and regulations that apply to the design of nuclear power plants (ME101, ASME, B31.1)

Strong technical writing and documentation skills.

Hands-on experience with Pipe Stress Analysis software and/or analysis techniques (AutoPIPE & SuperPipe)

Proven ability to deliver work with a high degree of accuracy, detail, and independence

Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship now or in the future
