We are currently looking for Mid-Sr Level Mechanical Engineers to join their growing team! Positions are direct hire& can be onsite/hybrid or fully remote with some travel (approximately 5%).
Mechanical Engineer position summary:
Apply engineering principles, techniques and practices in the preparation and/or review of mechanical design work products such as; use of the Standard Design Process (SDP) to develop modification packages, P&ID's, system and equipment requirement specifications, FMEA, system design documents, condition assessments of mechanical equipment, systems, and components. Provides expert advice on design processes and construction methods. Perform review of complex calculations, design deliverables, and lead small to medium projects or serve as technical lead on complex projects. Interface with all stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of the design project including field support.
BS in Mechanical Engineering from a ABET accredited school
8+ years of relevant nuclear power experience
Working knowledge of nuclear and mechanical codes, standards, and regulations that apply to the design of nuclear power plants including the Engineering Change Control process and Nuclear Quality Assurance Standards.

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer – Nuclear Power (Direct Hire, Remote)
About the Role:
We are partnered with a top nuclear industry leader to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer with direct nuclear power experience. This is a direct hire, in-house position offering full benefits, paid time off, and remote flexibility. Major Duties / Responsibilities:

- Perform and review calculations in support of the design change process

Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 2-10+ years of engineering experience in the nuclear industry (Positions to be filled based on experience)

- Strong technical writing and documentation skills

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Nuclear Procurement Engineer (Electrical focus) to support procurement, qualification, and dedication of electrical components for use in the commercial nuclear industry. This role is responsible for ensuring all procured materials and equipment meet technical, regulatory, and quality assurance requirements under 10 CFR 50 Appendix B.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, procurement engineering, or nuclear component qualification, with experience in commercial-grade dedication (CGD) and fit, form, and function evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide engineering and technical oversight for the procurement of electrical and electronic components supporting nuclear operations.
Lead commercial-grade dedication (CGD) activities, ensuring procured components meet safety-related requirements.
Evaluate fit, form, and function equivalency for replacement and alternate components.
Develop and maintain procurement engineering documentation, including dedication packages, technical evaluations, and supplier qualification records.
Collaborate with suppliers, quality assurance, and design engineering to resolve technical and compliance issues.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B Quality Assurance programs.
Support audits, inspections, and reviews of suppliers and dedication processes.
Participate in obsolescence management efforts by identifying qualified replacements for unavailable or discontinued electrical components.
Provide engineering expertise during design changes, modifications, and upgrades that require new component procurement.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
5+ years of experience in nuclear procurement engineering, component qualification, or related nuclear engineering discipline.
Strong knowledge of commercial-grade dedication (CGD) processes and methodologies.
Hands-on experience with fit, form, and function evaluations for electrical and electronic components.
Familiarity with Appendix B QA programs and NRC regulatory requirements.
Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
U.S. Citizen (must meet security and access requirements for nuclear facilities).
Preferred:
Prior experience in procurement engineering roles within the nuclear industry.
Knowledge of IEEE, EPRI, and NRC guidance related to CGD and procurement engineering.
Experience with supplier audits, corrective action programs, and quality oversight.
Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus.

Summary:
ASME NQA-1 Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) ensures the quality aspect of activities affecting engineering, procurement, dedication/qualification, and manufacturing processes for items and services provided to nuclear facilities strictly comply with the ASME NQA-1 standard. Responsibilities:
•Program Implementation, Develop, implement, and maintain an NQA-1 compliant Quality Assurance Program.
•Document Review, Review project deliverables, procurement requisitions, and quality verification documents to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
•Audits & Assessments, Coordinate and conduct internal and external vendor audits, as an NQA-1 auditor.
•Nonconformance Management, Identify, evaluate, and track nonconforming items or processes and develop/maintain corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.
•Regulatory Compliance, Ensure alignment with related nuclear quality frameworks such as 10CFR50 Appendix B and 10CFR21.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or an associate’s degree in an Engineering with 5+ years of NQA-1 related experience.
• 5+ years of experience in NQA-1 Quality Assurance. Lead Auditor certification will be required in the future if not currently certified.
•Working knowledge of NQA-1, 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR Part 21 requirements, and industry related standards such as EPRI and IEEE.

About the Job
To deliver electrical engineering expertise to power generation utilities and other customers. The specific accountabilities of the position are as follows:

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited school.
- 8-10+ years of experience in electrical design engineering.
- Proven track record in electrical design and analysis in electrical power distribution, including application to nuclear plants.
- Strong knowledge of generating station power upgrades including necessary system protection/system stability and relaying.
- In depth knowledge and experience of use of appropriate codes and standards, as applied to nuclear plant and conventional plants.
- Experience in project management and interfacing with and coordinating activities of multi-disciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with rigorous engineering change control processes and application of QA programs.
- Good working knowledge of basic generation plant design/operation related to nuclear power plants, skid-based designs, or international power projects.

We are seeking a Civil / Structural Engineer – Nuclear Power (Direct Hire, Remote)
About the Role
We are partnered with a top nuclear industry leader to hire a Civil/Structural Engineer with direct nuclear power experience. This is a direct hire, in-house position offering full benefits, paid time off, and remote flexibility. Major Duties / Responsibilities:
Basic design and analysis of concrete, steel structures, heavy load components, and other equipment supports. Work includes conceptual studies, cost and planning studies, design calculations, specification development, and seismic analysis.
Develop 3D analytical models utilizing FEA analysis techniques and response spectra seismic analysis.
Assist with the development of design and construction drawings.
Ensure effective communication among other engineering disciplines.
Manage assigned tasks for cost, schedule, quantity, and budget control.
Prepare and verify designs on site including creation of as-built drawings, field walkdowns, and installation support.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
3–5+ years of progressively responsible civil/structural engineering experience in the nuclear power industry (required).
Knowledge of civil/structural engineering fundamentals including mechanics, hydraulics, materials science, and statistical analysis.
Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
Proficiency with engineering-based programs such as Mathcad or Matlab.
Hands-on experience with Finite Element Analysis software and/or analysis techniques.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment while being a self-starter.
Proven ability to deliver work with a high degree of accuracy, detail, and independence.

Summary:
The Engineering Manager works closely with the Director of Engineering to define and implement departmental strategies in support of goals and organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
Management:
- Maintain a positive and effective leadership role through effective communication, one-on-one meetings, defined roles & responsibilities, clear expectations, regular guidance and feedback, and established priorities
- Direct engineering resources and coordinate their activities to achieve maximum efficiency and produce cost-effective, high-quality products
- Serve as the Chief Engineer, while leading and managing day-to-day engineering operations
- Provide input to strategic initiatives & execute strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

- Monitor components through manufacturing & production process
- Coordination of required quality inspections

Title: CGD Lab Technician
Type: Direct Hire
Onsite 5 Days a week
Location: Oak Ridge, TN
The Ottohahn group is in search of CGD Technicians to support Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) laboratory activities for Electrical/Electronics parts and components for the Nuclear Power Industry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Execute CGD plans to support Safety Related (QL1) procurement.
Perform material receipt activities in support of our client’s warehouse operations.
Perform Quality Receiving Inspection (QRI) activities.
Execute qualification test plans that meet technical requirements.
Design, fabricate, and implement test setups to meet testing requirements.
Develop or assist in the development of test plans and perform special tests for the purpose of commercial grade dedication.
Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
Coordinate or witness completion of special inspections performed by another company organization or an off-site testing facility, if required.
Ensure compliance with applicable requirements, regulations, procedures, and specifications.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Requirements:
An Associate Degree in a technical field and at least five (5) years of Nuclear Industry/Supplier experience preferred, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
Successfully complete QRI-certified inspection requirements, including demonstrated visual acuity.
Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and operating manuals.
Interpret test data results.
Write test or inspection reports outlining results, recommendations, or needed repairs.
Familiarity with test equipment such as DMM, AC/DC variable voltage sources, Hi Pot, Oscilloscope, Function Generator, Power Meter, Caliper, Micrometer, IR Temp Gun, Tachometer, Flow Meters, etc. required.
Must be able to use basic shop equipment correctly and safely (drill press, grinder, band saw, etc.).
Experience utilizing various test equipment (OES, XRF, FTIR, etc.) preferred.
Previous experience in a material handling or quality receiving inspector role.
Understanding of Commercial Grade Dedication (EPRI NP5652) preferred.
Understanding of Equipment Qualification preferred.

We are seeking a Pipe Stress Analysis Engineer – Nuclear Power (Direct Hire, Remote)
About the Role
We are partnered with a top nuclear industry leader to hire a Pipe Stress Analysis Engineer with direct nuclear power experience. This is a direct hire, in-house position offering full benefits, paid time off, and remote flexibility. You’ll be joining a highly respected team that works on mission-critical nuclear power projects, contributing to the safe and reliable operation of energy infrastructure across the country.
In this role, you will gain exposure to work across the nuclear fleet in the U.S., supporting multiple utilities and a wide variety of PWR and BWR reactor types. This provides engineers with unique skillsets and technical depth that are highly valued across the nuclear industry.

Major Duties / Responsibilities
Apply engineering principles, techniques and practices in the preparation and/or review of engineering work products for existing power plants as well as new plants
Use of the Standard Design Process (SDP) to develop modification packages, P&ID's, isometric drawings, create pipe stress analysis models, prepare piping & engineering specifications in accordance with code requirements
Perform review of complex calculations, design deliverables, and lead small to medium projects or serve as technical lead on complex projects.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
5+ years of relevant mechanical design & pipe stress analysis experience
Knowledge of mechanical & nuclear codes, standards, and regulations that apply to the design of nuclear power plants (ME101, ASME, B31.1)
Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
Hands-on experience with Pipe Stress Analysis software and/or analysis techniques (AutoPIPE & SuperPipe)
Proven ability to deliver work with a high degree of accuracy, detail, and independence
Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship now or in the future
